A WORD FROM OUR CO-PRESIDENTS….

March certainly has been a month of weather extremes - seventy degree temperatures and rains that make an ark necessary!  The daffodils at Town Center have started to bloom and will be enjoyed by the residents of Sudbury.  Warmer weather is predicted for the weekend and many of us are eager to be out gardening and golfing!  Soon the flowering trees will be blooming to make a beautiful show of color on the landscape.  Spring is our reward for making it through the New England winter.

Our next meeting on Wednesday, April 14 is the joint meeting at the Memorial Congregational Church. The program time is 9:45.  Thank you to Mary E. and Pat for organizing the hostess and food sign-ups. I am sure the program by Maureen Christmas will be wonderful.

The Nominating Committee has been hard at work getting the slate of officers and board positions filled. Thank you to Alice, Julie, Jill, Elizabeth, Lee and Donna K. for helping the TGC with this effort.  If you would like to volunteer for a job please contact them.

Thank you to Mary H. for organizing the pruning workshop and service day at the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden scheduled for April 1st.

Thank you again to Colleen and Jeanne our Tea Co-chairs and to Ann and Carol for the goodies at the March meeting.

Your co-presidents will be attending the North/South Central District meeting on May 6th.  We have been asked to put together a basket to contribute to the silent auction.  If anyone has any items they would like to give us for the "kitchen garden" themed basket just give us a call.

Joy and Aliya have been hard at work preparing for Art in Bloom.  We appreciate their efforts to give the TGC this great visibility in Boston at the MFA.  This event runs April 24-26.

The Boston Flower and Garden Show was wonderful.  The huge gardens with animals, birds, waterfalls, patios, flowers and trees were amazing. The flower show arrangements were so creative and gorgeous. It was wonderful to have this major event back in Boston.

Happy spring to you all as we gear up for our very busy month of May.

Fondly,

Marsha and Donna
